Advantages of Hydroponic Systems
The main objective of our hydroponic systems is the collection and control of drainage in hydroponic crops, keeping the greenhouse free and dry of drains. Thanks to our Spacer we manage to maximize the aeration between the substrate bag and the drainage flow. In this way we avoid the accumulation of moisture under the substrate bag, prevent the roots from leaving the bag and coming into contact with the drains, and therefore eliminate the proliferation of diseases and their contagion between plants of the same line. Thanks to our systems we achieve greater production and higher quality, and at the same time we reduce the consumption of water, fertilizers and plant protection products. Reuse of drains is allowed (water + nutrients).
Soil level vs. Elevated Hydroponics. Which system do I need?
Both systems are efficient and effective, but it depends on the type of crop we are going to grow. Both systems are ideal for growing vegetables, berries, flowers and medicinal cannabis. Soil systems offer a more economical option than elevated systems, while elevated hydroponics offer an additional advantage by being able to raise the crop to an optimum height for field work, which reduces labour costs. This height adjustment also allows to provide the ideal slope to collect all the irrigation drains more effectively when the greenhouse soil is not homogeneous.
Which is the best hydroponic system for my crops?
The choice of the ideal system for a specific type of crop will depend on the variety, the weight that the system must support, the homogeneity of the soil, the characteristics of the greenhouse, and many other factors. Premium, Eco, Bulk and all elevated systems are valid for almost all types of crops. For crops that require large volume pots or bags of substrate, we recommend choosing the Hydropot System, as it provides greater robustness and is better suited to large volume and heavy pots and bags. The Strawberry System is specially designed for strawberry crops in tunnels or greenhouses that don’t allow hang gutters, achieving an optimal height for harvesting tasks and the ideal slope for the correct flow of drains. In the case of having a greenhouse strong enough to support the weight of the strawberry, substrate bag and hydroponics system, we recommend our Hanging System, which hangs from the greenhouse structure at the height desired by the customer. In the case of wanting to optimize the greenhouse surface to the maximum, we recommend choosing our mobile Lifting and Swinging systems, with which we maximize production per Ha thanks to the motorized mobility (vertical or horizontal) of the cultivation lines. What problem does hydroponics solve?
With our Systems we prevent the roots from leaving the bag and coming into contact with the drains, which would generate serious problems for the plants. In this way we avoid obstructing the drainage flow, we decrease the proliferation of diseases and fungi and we prevent the contagion between plants throughout the same line. It is also very important to mention that thanks to our Spacers (in all its versions) we eliminate the existence of moisture under the grow bag. In addition to the benefits above mentioned for the plant, thanks to our Hydroponics Systems we manage to reduce the unnecessary expense of water and phytosanitary products, since our systems allow the reuse of drains (water + nutrients).
